CHAPTER NEWS Follow STTI Psi Chapter-at-Large on Facebook and Twitter! Psi Chapter information is now available through Twitter and on Facebook group. While we reserve communications from our e-mail listserv to about once per month, these new options are open for more frequent and informal commnuication among chapter members. It is also a good way for members to share information on upcoming events, grants, and accomplishments. We also share photos from chapter events on the Facebook page. To join the Facebook page, you first need a Facebook account. Search for the group "STTI-Psi-at-Large" and join. To follow Psi Chapter on Twitter, you also need a Twitter account. Search for "STTIPsi" and select "follow". See the report from the STTI Psi Chapter-at-Large Fall Program, 2009. RESEARCH Members of the STTI Psi Chapter-at-Large make tremendous contributions to nursing research. Visit the Research page to see examples of our members’ articles, abstracts, research grants, and honors. Applications for STTI Psi Chapter-at-Large Research Grants are now being accepted. It is anticipated that there will be two awards of $1500 each, or up to $3000 for one superior proposal. The deadline for application is December 15, 2009. UPCOMING EVENTS Save the Date! Seattle Nursing Research Conference is approaching in January 2010 STTI Psi Chapter-at-Large continues its commitment to excellence in nursing research by continuing to co-sponsor the Annual Seattle Nursing Research Conference. This highly successful two-day conference is attended by over 100 nurses from the Pacific Northwest. This conference reflects a perfect match between STTI and the Seattle Nursing Research Consortium (SNRC) in their mutual goal of advancing nursing science. Presentations emphasize both research and evidence-based practice (EBP) initiatives. The conference will be held at Harborview Medical Center on January 25 and 26, 2010. The first day is the Seattle Nursing Research Workshop, and the second day is the 5th Annual Seattle Nursing Research Conference. The Keynote Speaker is Alyce A. Schultz, RN, PhD, FAAN; Center for the Advancement of Evidence-Based Practice, College of Nursing and Health Innovation, Arizona State University, Phoenix, AZ.
