Upcoming Elections and Chapter Inductions
Spring is a busy season for STTI Psi-at-Large Chapter. Members soon will be receiving an electronic link by e-mail to elect 2012-2014 board members. Please look for this e-mail and take a moment to vote! Psi-at-Large is also holding chapter inductions in May and June 2012. Click here for dates, times, and locations.

Winter 2012 Programs
This winter, Psi-at-Large co-sponsored two important scholarly programs in the Puget Sound area. In January, we served as co-sponsor of the 7th Annual Seattle Nursing Research Workshop and Conference. The conference was well attended and highly successful. This conference has consistently promoted nursing scholarship, evidence based practice, and collaboration among nurse researchers and clinicians. Psi-at-Large is proud to serve with the Seattle Nursing Research Consortium as co-sponsors of this important event.

Psi-at-Large also co-sponsored the lecture, Global Health and Caring: Our Part in the World, February 22 at UW Tacoma. The featured speaker, Dr. Marla Salmon, discussed what it means to be a global citizen and challenged the audience to think about what they can do each day to demonstrate global caring. The event was attended by about 85 health professionals and students from around the Puget Sound region. Read more about the event here.

STTI Biennial Convention
From October 28-November 2, 2011, Mindy Schaffner and Diana Taibi attended the 41st Annual STTI Biennial Convention in Grapevine, Texas as the delegates from Psi-at-Large Chapter. Read more. Read more…

Save the Date! A Celebration of Psi Chapter’s 50th Anniversary
We are excited to welcome Dr. Patricia Benner as our keynote speaker for our 50th Anniversary Celebration. Dr. Benner has made significant contributions to nursing and nursing education. The event will take place at 6:00 pm on October 27, 2012, at the Museum of Flight in Seattle. All chapter members and their guests are welcome. Please join us for this special event! RESEARCH

STTI Psi-at-Large chapter congratulates Ira Kantrowitz-Gordon, MN, CNM, ARNP, recipient of the 2012 Psi-at-Large Research Award. Mr. Kantrowitz-Gordon was awarded $3,000 for the project, “Postpartum Distress after Preterm Birth”. Read more here.
