Upcoming Elections and Chapter Inductions
Winter 2012 Programs Psi-at-Large also co-sponsored the lecture, Global Health and Caring: Our Part in the World, February 22 at UW Tacoma. The featured speaker, Dr. Marla Salmon, discussed what it means to be a global citizen and challenged the audience to think about what they can do each day to demonstrate global caring. The event was attended by about 85 health professionals and students from around the Puget Sound region. Read more about the event here.
STTI Biennial Convention
MEMBER STORIES Dr. Joachim Voss, Psi-at-Large member and faculty member at UW Seattle School of Nursing, will present the developmental process of the Afya Bora Consortium in September 2012, at the Interprofessional Partnership: Improvement for Global Health Outcomes Conference in Chiang Mai, Thailand. UPCOMING EVENTS Save the Date! A Celebration of Psi Chapter’s 50th Anniversary RESEARCH STTI Psi-at-Large chapter congratulates Ira Kantrowitz-Gordon, MN, CNM, ARNP, recipient of the 2012 Psi-at-Large Research Award. Mr. Kantrowitz-Gordon was awarded $3,000 for the project, “Postpartum Distress after Preterm Birth”. Read more here.
