Get Involved as a Psi Chapter Officer!

Opportunities to get involved in 2012-2013

STTI Psi Chapter-at-Large always has many ways for members to get more involved. You can get involved with serving the chapter in an officer position or on several of our committees. We currently are in need of a Chapter Archivist and members of various committees including Inductions, Philanthropy, Publicity, Leadership Succession, and Governance. These roles are described below. If you are interested in getting involved, please contact your campus counselor, community counselor, or leadership succession representative listed on the Our Officers Page.

Chapter Archivist: The role of the archivist is to collect and preserve items of historical significance for the chapter by filing meeting minutes, oversee the collection and preservation of documents, statistics and other contributions. Archivists may also develop or maintain the written history of the chapter.

Inductions Committee: Members of the Inductions Committee will work with the Vice President for Inductions and the counselors to plan and coordinate information sessions and induction ceremonies.

Philanthropy Committee: Members of the Philanthropy Committee will coordinate annual philanthropy efforts. The committee will bring proposed activities to the board for approval and will coordinate philanthropy activities, including potential fund-raising for efforts beyond the scope of chapter funding.

Leadership Succession Committee: The Leadership Succession Committee develops members in organizational leadership roles across the span of their careers, mentor members to assume organizational board and officer positions at all levels of the organization. The committee selects nominees and prepares the ballot. The ballot will be sent to the Board of Directors at least four weeks prior to a scheduled election.

Governance Committee: The Governance Committee oversees bylaws compliance, makes recommendations for bylaws changes and oversees member and chapter eligibility issues.
